Gerd Pflueger is a Lead NSX Systems Engineer since March 2016 in the region of EMEA for VMware. Within the Networking und Security Business Unit (NSBU) he’s responsible for Enterprise Datacenter and Internet of Things including new technologies, like Network Function Virtualization (NFV), SD-WAN and other SDN developments. Gerd is also a "Member of the CTO Ambassador Program" within VMware. With more than 20 years of experience in the Internet business, Gerd held various positions, lately as Distinguished Systems Engineer with Cisco Systems in Central Europe. At Cisco, he was responsible for the consulting on switching and routing in the EMEA region and worked closely with engineering and marketing on MPLS, LISP, SD-WAN, and IoT. Gerd studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Georg Simon Ohm (Nuremberg).

Christoph Puhl joined VMware in early 2015 as Network Virtualization and Security Architect for the EMEA region. In the area of NSX, his main focus is on the integration of NSX into new application frameworks and container networks, as well as all associated security functionalities across the entire VMware portfolio. Prior to joining VMware, he focused on datacenter networking and still holds an active CCIE R&S certification.

Martijn Smit: With over 17 years of experience in designing and deploying datacenter environments on all layers, working as an engineer, consultant & architect, Martijn now works as a NSX Specialist at VMware Benelux. He is a Cisco CCNP Datacenter, VMware VCIX-NV, VCP-DCV, VCP-CMA, VCAP-DCA, VCAP-DCD, VSP, VTSP, VMware vExpert (2015-2018, Cloud & NSX) and Cisco Champion (2015-2018).

Christoph Buschbeck joined VMware as a Network Virtualization and Security SE for the CEMEA region in 2016. Within the NSBU he is responsible managing Enterprise Accounts for NSX and Network Insight and working on integrations: NSX and Workspace ONE. With more than 10 years of experience in the IT, Christoph worked as a Senior Consultant for a Cisco Gold Partner where he developed the network part of the OT portfolio, worked on zoning concepts and before that he started his career as a Network Administrator at Automotive. He made his degree in economic computer science in Wiesau.
